Q1. What is the duration of the OPITO MEMIR course?

A1.  The course runs for 3.5 days for a class of 6 candidates, less if the class size is smaller.

Q2. What is the duration of the OPITO OIM C/E course?

A2. The course runs for 2 days if 2 candidates for assessment, if three or four candidates then 3 days.

Q3. Are there any pre-requisites for the OPITO MEMIR course?

A3. No, however it is preferred that the candidate is part of or participates as a member of the incident management team.

Q4. Are there any pre-requisites for the OPITO OIM C/E course?

A4. Yes, the candidate must be in the position of OIM/OSC and provide suitable/acceptable element 1.1 evidence prior to commencement of the assessment process.

Q5. Will my certificate be recognized globally within Industry?

A5. Yes, OPITO certificates are recognized and accepted globally within Industry.

Q6. How long is my certificate valid for?

A6. There is no expiry date on either OPTIO MEMIR or OIM C/E certificates, however Industry best practices recommends the assessment process is repeated each time you move to a new facility as the OIM/OSC.

Q7. Where can I attend the OPITO MEMIR or OIM C/E courses?

A7. At any one of our centres or alliance partners centres in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia or Kazakhstan.

Q8. How much does the OPITO MEMIR & OIM course cost?

A8. Please email our training administration department for a formal quotation.

Q9. Do I need to have an offshore medical certificate to attend either course?

A9. Yes, you will need to have an offshore medical certificate to attend either course.

Q10. Can I attend both the OPITO MEMIR & OPITO OIM C/E courses?

A10. Yes, you can if you meet the pre-requisites for the OIM C/E.  You can attend the OPITO MEMIR course first and then stay on to attend the OIM C/E assessment course.
